Multi-core performance makes a huge difference!
I upgraded my processor from a 6-core to a 12-core on my Mac Pro 6,1. I immediately noticed a difference in speed and performance with applications that have multi-core support. Great value, and highly recommended! The OWC video really helped me with the installation. Much more inexpensive buying this off of eBay and installing yourself, rather than having Apple do it.

Works perfect and easy to install in mac pro 2013 trashcan.
Got this super fast. Followed the owc install video and swapped it in about 30 minutes taking my time. Went from 6 to 12 cores.

It's fast, low temps under load, stables and it's reliablity far exceeds a standard CPU.
i do allot of video conversions MPG, MP4 TO MKV using Divx Convertor, and this cpu replaces i7-3970x on MSI x79A-GD45 Plus, and it even outperforms my flagship cpu on an MSI X99A SLI PLUS 5960x with 64gb memory. i went from 2:hrs3mins to 48minutes RENDERING DIFFERENCE!
