This is an excellent debut album!
This is an excellent hard rock album, even if you don't understand the lyrics. These guys are very talented and will rock you out! Raised behind the Iron Curtain, and classically trained in East Berlin in their youth, the melodies blend seamlessly. I have been a fan since I heard ''Du Hast'' almost 20 years ago, and I can't believe I missed listening to this album. Two of my favorite tracks are ''Asche Zu Asche'' (Ashes to ashes), and " Du Riecht So Gut'' (You smell so good). Check out their videos on youtube, they spare no expense to make a great video. Their live shows use a lot of pyrotechnics, pretty awesome. If you have XXX (Triple X) with Vin Diesel, you have seen Rammstein. They open the movie with ''Feuer Frei!'' from the ''Mutter'' (Mother) album released in 2002. Mercedes used two of their songs in ads; Mein Herz Brennt (My heart burns) and Benzin (Gasoline) from the ''Rosenrot'' album.
