The vacuum truly is an animal pulls the hair dirt even the carpet definitely a good buy. It is heavy though so if you have to lug it up and down stairs be aware.

Dyson animal 3 with pet hair tools
The suction and cleaning power of this vacuum is awesome. Rugs looks much cleaner after one pass. The only downside I see is the turning ability. You have to tilt the handle down more than I expected to get it to make those sharp Dyson turns. Kind of hard on my wrists., This seems to be due to the split type ball. The older dysons are much easier to turn sharply because of the single ball.

Lightweight with heavy duty performance
It has unbelievable suction as an upright vacuum; made 17 year old berber carpet look terrific, pulled an amazing amount of dirt out. Releasing it from & putting it back to upright is a challenge, it's hard to release and sometimes it doesn't stay locked in upright and falls over. The hose is incredibly tight and very difficult to stretch out, I've read it gets better with use. It's nice and light, I have 2 Kirbys and got this to pick up my Akita's constant shedding. Having a cannister to dump all the fur is better than filling up & replacing Kirby bags. I am going to work this machine to death since 90% of my floors are tile and hardwood and I get fur everywhere. It will also be used on my front and back porches. The pet tool works really well on my dog, on and off the vacuum. I bought a flat out attachment at a great price on Ebay as well which is a great addition. I got this at a fantastic price, less than half of sale prices I've seen. I would recommend this vacuum if you are looking for heavy duty performance and lightweight construction. I am a 61 year old woman.
