Mr. Morley chronicles the life and times of one of England's most gifted actors, James Mason, with great emphasis on Mason's acting achievements in chronological order, intertwining his personal and business dealings as well. After reading the book, I felt I knew much more about the inside world of old Hollywood and London and the actors who crossed Mason's path along the way.As a devoted Mason fan, I still think, after reading the book, that Mason was an enigma and , like most very gifted artists, didn't believe he was as great as the cinema world saw him. I also liked finding out tidbits about his devotion to his young children, Portland and Mason.Very poignant insights. Iimmensely enjoyed the book!
