      Good beginner scope

      This scope is a great buy for the very beginner looking to get their feet wet in the world of Astronomy without spending a lot and see if they are really into it. Bought it for my girlfriend as a Xmas gift. As beginners ourselves, We find the views we've been able to get are very good. The tube and optics seem to be working pretty good. It's very light and the box is small for everything inside. It's very portable. This means of course some other areas had to be compromised for this price. My complaints are actually the rest of the kit. The mount is not very stable, the scope shakes a bit, and when tracking objects you have to overcompensate going a little ahead of were you want, since after tightening the scope in position it will move back a little. This can make higher magnifications ...

      Superb scope

      Price is great for the quality of the telescope, as a beginner It was super easy to set up and use, I suggest some type of bag to retain after use besides the box. Crisp viewing of the moon was amazing!

      View a galaxy far far away

      I set it up and took it to the front deck and immediately spotted a galaxy among the sea of stars. I am a novice at this and have never spotted a clear galaxy among the stars. I love it already.

      For the price, seems to have lots of features.

      I bought this for my granddaughters and they are 3 and 5. My son will use it with them. So, it hasn't been used yet, but I did a lot of reading about it before I bought it. All positive. And it was hard to find just before Christmas.
