IMHO, Dweck confuses knowledge with intelligence. Intelligence is genetic, knowledge is environmental. That's not "fixed mindset", that's a fact, based on over 100 years of intense testing and data analysis. Useful, none the less, for those seeking avenues for self improvement. Overall though, not recommended. If you're interested in how people succeed, I recommend reading "Outliers" by Malcolm Gladwell. A scientifically based very sobering book about those who get ahead and how they got there.
