    The Good Earth movie gives life to Pearl Buck's novel

    The Good Earth is a great movie. I love all Pearl Buck's novels and this was her best, in my opinion. It's a vintage movie. So, most actors who played Chinese parts were not Chinese. But, the story is beautiful, the characters are interesting and it really does the novel justice, for it's time. I highly recommend this movie to others.

    Triumph of the human spirit

    This film features excellent acting by the 2 leads. Luise Ranier steas the film from Paul Muni. Her character is heroic and she holds the family together with her strength. It is a shame that Luise Ranier did not have a more lengthy career.
