Like a New Razor!
The razor these were purchased for is about 6 years old but has sentimental value because it belonged to a favorite relative that passed away. He hadn't had it very long before he passed. It was an expensive razor and we decided that purchasing a quality set of replacement heads would be better than purchasing a cheaper razor. At other sites, the replacement heads were more expensive. Definitely just ok so far
From reading other reviews before committing to buy, I was expecting more. Maybe it feels like 'a brand new razor' to some but compared to the last heads these new ones feel to be pulling on my beard rather than shaving it. I needed to replace the shaving heads due to wearing through the original foils. I'm hoping that through use that the new blades might actually sharpen themselves against the foils as they break in so will give the new heads a few more weeks. If they don't improve I'll just swap the old blades back in. A little disappointing since I did research in an effort to not acquire cheap knockoffs.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Difficult - But Worth the Effort
I had my doubts about the product after opening the package and looking at the " laughable " instructions. Make sure you understand how the old ones were in meaning take a good Look at them before you remove them . After several tries if worked perfectly. Best shaver ever made.
My first shaver was a norelco given to me 15-16? Tried several others they all "chewed" my sensitive skin. I would recommend every man at least give it a try. Last's almost forever. Most stores like Target, Walmart, Bed Bath and Beyond have a great return policy. I am not even interested in any other product. Why change when something works? These blades are rather expensive. BUT, if you are going on a date and want a really clean shave it is worth it to me, especially if you can get a good deal on EBay. For going to work I wouldn't pay this much as you can get a Chinese set of blades for a fraction of the cost. The Chinese blades give an OK shave but not that nice slick feeling that a date likes. So I keep two shavers: One with the genuine Norelco blades for dates and one with the cheap Chinese blades for daily use. Shaving time went from 10 minutes to 1 minute with new heads
Heads wear out a little at a time. Very slowly it takes longer and longer to shave because while you might believe the whiskers just aren't getting into the heads, the fact is the blades and heads are dull and it just isn't cutting them on that pass. It was like a 10 minute neck and face message to get rid of the whiskers, and constantly going over and over to get the long ones. Now it's like maybe a minute, and I'm done. I could feel and hear the difference right away. The shaver slowed down when it hits my whiskers now, and I have to back off to not get razor burn. It had been at least 5 years since they were replaced. If you add up the time lost, it easily pays to replace them the once-a-year like they recommend. I wish I had done this years ago. These razor heads are of great quality as they should be because of the price. 1st time I've replaced them in the 7 or 8 years I've owned the razor. This razor has lasted many years. It's nice to just replace the 3 razor heads and not have to replace the whole unit. Well made products I think.
