    Good price, needs some work to fit

    Bought this water pump for my 1986 944. Price was great and pump looked good. Test fitted it to the motor and lightly tightened the mounting nuts & bolts. Pulley wouldn't turn as the impeller is larger diameter than the Porsche original that I removed, interfering at top of recess in block. Cured the problem by judicious relief grinding of the block to allow clearance. OK if you check before tightening down, but not "plug 'n play" for this model 944.
