    Sarah Plain And Tall

    This is the best movie I have watched in a long time. It brought tears to my eyes to watch it. My sister who passed away in 2005 had this movie on VHS. I was unable to watch this movie on my DVD, and VHS player. I ordered this movie through ebay and I enjoyed watching it very much. The reason I was brought to tears is because the woman from Maine reminded me of my sister. I love this movie and I think it is excellent value for a buyer who remembers there was a time that producers made movies that were of moral values and belief's. robertkowalski2009

    Family Movie

    Sarah Plain and Tall is the first of 3 movies that detail life on the plains during harsh droughts and storms and lives in turmoil during the turn of the 20th century. Jacob, the father of two children, lost his wife during childbirth with the 2nd child. He places an ad in the newspaper for someone to "make a difference." The newspaper ad finds its way from Kansas to Maine where "Sarah" (Glenn Close) answers the ad and travels from her beloved sea-side home to the wilderness of Kansas. From there Caleb and Sarah and Caleb's two children begins a relationship that carries thru all 3 movies, all of which are family-friendly and entertaining. What is most unique with this trilogy of films is that all the same characters plays in each film.
