About this product

    Product Information

Developed by the team behind Star Wars: Empire at War, Universe at War: Earth Assault is a real-time strategy game featuring three alien factions. The Hierarchy uses brute force to crush its foes, literally, with massive walkers. The Novus weakens its enemies using hit-and-run tactics, while the Masari channels mystical powers to obliterate those in its path. Your goal as each faction is nothing short of world domination, which means battling Earth's pesky resistance movement as well as rival aliens.

Set in the year 2012, Earth Assault offers the opportunity to raze such real-world locations as Washington, DC, and Egypt. One of the game's other distinguishing features is its on-the-fly customization system, where players can switch weapons, adjust tech trees, and even replace unit types in the heat of battle. In-game achievements award medals for faction-specific boosts, while a persistent online profile tracks conquered territories, statistics, and milestones. Cross-platform support allows Xbox 360 and PC owners to compete against each other across multiple game modes.

Game arrived in relatively sealed condition, only the shell/cover sleeve was a bit worn but that's fine as I like having the shells regardless.

    • Some Fresh Air

The RTS scene has been dead for years. Not really since Dawn of War, or Warcraft III before it, have we really seen an earnest, respectable attempt at the genre. Universe At War puts in a good effort, and while it lacks some graphical and UI polish that would put it at the top, there's a good game here. Especially at the price you can find it (I got mine for $5, free shipping), this is basically an impulse buy and a must-play for any gamer interested in scoping out where RTS is headed these days. With Starcraft II still an indefinite time away, Universe At War is a solid investment.

    • Good game that fans of rts should enjoy

the game is fun and has some pretty graphics when maxed out although dx10 is a joke that kills the performance will looking the same. The game would have been even better if people actually played the game but as of this writing the online community is more or less dead. I blame windows live for this. making ppl pay 50$ to get features that are normally included for free is outrageous(note u no longer need to pay for it as live is now free for pc).

    • ok for a time killer.

I at first thought of this game as being one i would greatly enjoy. for once in my gaming history of choices, i was wrong. this RTS game is put to shame by its counterparts, supreme commander and warhammer 40,000. As far as strategy goes, this game is inferior to checkers. i paid $5.00, i could have put that money towards supreme commander 2. this game wont keep you enthralled at its Superior graphics and cool sound affects. no, the truth is that i wasted ten hours of my life playing this game, trying desperately to justify the pennies i spent on it. There are few units to build, as I'am sure most of us like the multiple choices on the build menu. The computer sent me a small army that even a pair of girl scouts could have destroyed, even on the hardest difficulty. the pop limit is a ...
