This is one of the best compact film cameras. It consists of a 5 element 4 group lens. It produces photos of rich color and sharpness. Easy to use. I have switched to digital cameras now but I recently bought another Nikon L35 AF to replace my 25 year old faulty Nikon L35 AD which is the same model except with a Data Back. My Data Back only covers up to year 1999. That is why I did not buy the Model AD as it is meaningless to get a Data Back with no actual current calendar.
The best point-and-shoot camera, has everything you need, not only a very sharp lens, but what I prefer is the aa battery that you can easily find anywhere in the world, the size is not too big or too small, maybe some People are not satisfied with its sound or think its lens is not perfect, but please don’t forget that it is not the top professional photographic equipment used by the world’s top photographers, almost forty years old still low-key fashion... is my best choice, how about you? By the way very good service, thanks. Bo Qu

This is a great Nikon point and shoot camera from the 80s. It has a very sharp lens, quick auto-focusing, and is easy to use. I'm a serious photo hobbyist who shoots film a lot, and I find myself bring this one along when I go places instead of my fancy SLRs. It fits nicely in a pocket and doesn't attract attraction and occasional hassles the way an SLR with a big lens does. I love this camera.
I had one of these way beck when. It was a great camera then and it still is. The L35AF opened the door for Nikon into the world of consumer point-and-shoots, the way the Yashica T2 and then T4 did for that company. The next generation of the L35AF, the L35AF-2, was known in the US as the One-Touch. It was the first Touch camera for Nikon and was followed by many, like the Action-Touch (waterproof), Fun-Touch (really basic point and shoot) and several zooming Touch models. For the record, the L35AF-3 (One-Touch Macro) is also a great camera, with its macro lens. Go for any of these cameras with strap and case. They nicely complete the set.
Great camera and great size wise. The lens is infamously sharp and defintiely a great starter camera. I have been warned that the film door will get loose, but I have not face this so far. Just a simply great camera. Easy to use Autofocuse of course.

Everything worked great except the shutter had to get it fixed cause it wouldn’t take photos once it had film.

Everything seems to be working well! It arrived in a well protected box with bubble wrap. Loved the slick retro look of the camera. Seems to be working fine but i have yet to develop the photos to view it.
