    • Exploring the Lusitania

Bob Ballard has done some of the greatest underwater archeology of the 20th Century. This is an excellent work on the life and sinking of LUSITANIA. One of the premier luxury liners of the early 20th Century, she was the pride of the Cunard Line. Known for her extreme luxury and speed, she was undeniably one of the foremost ships of her day. She was sunk by torpedo fire from a German U-Boat, in May, 1915, just over eleven miles south of the coast of Ireland, with a loss of 1195 civilian lives. The sinking of the "Lucy" caused world opinion to shift against Germany, and prompted U.S. involvement in WWI. Like the book TITANIC, this is a work that highlights the splendor of the great liner LUSITANIA. There are many photographs of all aspects of this ship along with all pertinent information ...

    • EXPLORING THE LUSITANIA

A good read on a piece of history, like all of Dr Robert D Ballard's books well reserched and informative A+++++ So if you like reading about shipwecks I would highly reccomend reading this book.

    • Excellent narrative but photos a disappointment

Excellent section on historical and political background Photos were disappointing by today's standards, but they did serve to support the narrative.
