Pleasantly surprised
This phone replaced a MOTO X and is well suited to my needs. The phone is a bit larger than I needed but that seems to be the current direction. Screen view quality is clear and sharp with no fading when viewed from side angle. The cameras aren't touted as being top of the line but I find them to be excellent, macro , wide angle, portrait, all perform quite well. I am not a cloud fan so having the option of an SD card for storage also suits me well. WI-FI calling is also a useful option and well suited to my weak signal in area of residence. Solid, reliable smartphone with great battery life
Now that I've been using this phone for a full year, I can state that it's been a good one. I haven't had any problem at all with it and the battery life is great. I am not a gamer nor a heavy streamer, so if there are deficiencies in those areas, I wouldn't really notice. The only mild complaint I can think of is that photos aren't really any better than with my previous Moto phone that I used for 3 years. They aren't bad, they just aren't great, especially in low light. It's nice that the phone has a slot for an SD memory card and a headphone jack.Now that I've been using this phone for a full year, I can state that it's been a good one. I was looking for a new phone since I have spider web cracks on my G8 Power cellphone. This came as a perfect upgrade for a very good price point. The screen is actually a bit larger than the G8, although not very much. I actually paid less for this Moto One 5G Ace than I did for the Moto G8 Power which I purchased 2 years ago. Bought it for $130 new. Was skeptical that it wouldn't work with my carrier ( I have Metro by T-Mobile) but after putting my SIM card in and activating the SIM through my carrier's website, it's working fine. Battery usage has been excellent. I don't do a lot of mobile gaming so this phone manages it to last for a couple of days easily.
