    Works as if brand new! Highly pleased!

    I was replacing another Sony portable, slightly different model that I bought in UK in 1990. I loved that radio and wanted a close approximation. The ICF-36 Sony radio delivered matches what was said about it in the offer and is almost an exact match for my previous radio. The condition of the exterior is exactly as pictured. I made a calculated guess that how the pics looked will translate to how well the radio works. Other offers for the same radio had pics that related poor or unknown quality. So, I bought it outright, no bidding. It works great! The tuner works, reception is perfect, power from the cord and batteries works well. I am highly pleased with the purchase.

    Great purchase

    My purchase of the Sony AM/FM radio from Tampamark was a positive experience. The radio was presented well on eBay, with sufficient description and pictures to provide assurance that I know what I'm getting. The price was right. The delivery was quick. The product arrived with good packaging and was in good and working condition. This particular Sony radio is an older model and is no longer made. The adage that "they don't make them like they used to" applies to this radio because it is of sturdy construction and works great, both on batteries and on wall power. This one arrived in its original box and included the instruction manual, so it was like buying it new.

    Excellent compact radio with sensitive tuner.& good sound.

    Radio has an excellent tuner, with good reception even though I live a good 50 ,miles from the closest FM broadcasting tower. Furthermore, it doesn't tend to drift off station once set, and a signal strength LED is useful in tuning. The sound is also quite good for such a compact radio --- All in all one of the better products from Sony (or any other manufacturer).

    Functional

    This is an older radio bought used. I work in an old building with terrible reception due to old construction. So far this radio has only picked up one station. Now, that's actually a good thing! To date I have not been able to find a radio that picks up any...ANY stations. The one decent local station is good enough for the office. I have not tested it outside the office but I assume it will perform beyond my expections. The tuning dial is smooth and accurate. The option to use batteries or plug is is great.
