Great Movie
Thoroughly enjoyed this movie about the early 1900s and changes taking place in that time period a mix of the old cowboy days and modern age coming into being. Rounders and cowboys, ranchers coping with the changing times. Tommy Lee Jones does a great job. They all remind me of people I know and have met as well as some still living the life. A good story about good people in a changing world
In my opinion, this is a hidden gem. Not many people know of this movie. There are several well known actors in it. This takes place in the turn of century when modern technology is starting to replace the cowboy way of life. For one cowboy it's a scary time. Making him question where he belongs. But for his nephew it's an exciting new world, full of possibilities. and others are just fighting to survive and to keep what they have. It's not a typical western with a lot of gun fights. I had read the book and when I saw it was made into a movie and was directed and stared Tommy Lee Jones- I had to have it! I got in VHS format.
