Makes PERFECT Waffles once you learn how to use it!!
Makes PERFECT Waffles as long as you know how to use it!! GREAT waffle iron, NEVER sticks!! I set it on highest setting; i make sure my batter is the right consistency and ingredients; for me it's whole wheat flour, sometimes i add buckwheat flour if i want; then 1/4 teaspoon of oil, 1/4 or half teaspoon sugar , pinch of baking soda, and i use this coconut milk blend i buy in the store, a milk substitute. Then when light turns green all heated up, pour in the batter, which isn't too thick or too thin, and fill the bottom part to it's edges, then close the top and press it down firmly. Wait till the steam is all steamed out, press it down again....make sure it's all steamed out and when the light is green again, then i unplug it; and let it sit 10 minutes. Perfect waffle!! It takes a bit of practice; don't expect perfect results without some experience!!! But once you gethe hang of it, PERFECT WAFFLES EVERY TIME!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Don't waste your money!
This Is a Waffle steamer! It's Not a waffle maker as I have used to make waffles for more than 40 years! This thing steams the batter to a sick pale color and rubber texture that is shaped like a waffle. They will not brown even after more than 10 minutes. No matter what I tried I couldn't make anything that looked like or tasted like a waffle, no matter how much butter or syrup they still taste like something other than a waffle! I gave mine to my son who is a Cook and he tried it and then therw it away! Read the instructions and they even tell you the steam the batter, they don't toast the waffle to a golden brown! This is a great little waffle maker. The non-stick surfaces are really forgiving when trying exotic ingredients. Bananas didn't stick like glue. Chia seed waffles popped right out. I like it!
Very satisfied with this product. The non-stick coating is PTFE & PFOA free, so it should be healthier than a lot of other waffle makers. Wattage printed on the waffle maker is 1050 watts. I still had to put the setting on Maximum and cook the waffle for 9 minutes to get it browned to my satisfaction. Used the toaster to crisp it even more before eating. Waffle maker seems a bit sturdier and heavier than the cheaper Oster versions in the local stores.
