Great architecture/appropriate tech book
This book describes the use of passive solar heating and lighting from the time of early civilizations to the appropriate technology era of the '70s. Has good writing, lots of detailed illustrations and a list of sources. This book has been recommended by John Micael Greer, writer of The Long Descent and Green Wizardry. The book has aged well as an appropriate tech guide and gives a good grasp of what can be done with sunlight and low-tech devices. Good for the prepper, home improver and civil engineering volunteer too!
