    Great saw, good value.

    Saw works very well, like the other Worx products I have (Leaf blower, Switchdriver, Hedge Trimmer). It is sturdy, and simple to operate and maintain. Chainsaws use lots of power so I bought an extra 6 Amp Hour battery and I would seriously recommend it if you are going to do more than a small job. The advantage it has over most other battery powered pole saws is also a drawback, in that the actual saw is one unit and can be detached from the end and used as a self contained saw (a plus). The drawback is that this puts the motor part at the saw end of the pole which weights it more heavily at the tip as compared to other dedicated pole saws which have the motor at the back end. This was a bit of an issue when I trying to trim limbs while up on a roof.

    Don’t Buy

    I can blame myself for buying this item. First off, I’m 6’3”, 240 man in pretty good shape. I should have realized that putting a 10 pound chain saw on the end of an 8 foot pole would be to much weight to allow me to maneuver the saw easily. But that’s not all. The first time I used it, the chain fell off. After I used the saw, I left it on my workbench only to come back and find a puddle of oil. The bar was dripping with oil. The speed of the saw isn’t fast enough so you get a lot of bucking which results in lack of control and ragged cuts. I would strongly recommend that you avoid this product.

    Another great tool at a great price!

    Got it late in the year, basically just removed battery and stored for winter. I have the 14" saw as well which work very well. These are basically the same. Pole with saw is a little heavy for overhead work, so use maximum caution when in use.

    Good yard tool

    Very light when used as a chain saw. Works well and its nice not to have to deal with a pull start, choke, priming, mixing oil and gas for the small projects. Or dragging 50 ft. of cord around. My battery didn't last as long as I would have liked but I have a few batteries. As a pole saw it converts fast and works well. Its a bit heavy and hard to see what your cutting sometimes as the saw is in the way. I recommend it for small jobs.
