    WORKS UNTILL IT DOESN'T

    Works great. Smooth operation. Easy to install, UNTILL IT BREAKS. There a section of metal which holds the handle gear in place. It uses curved metal to keep it in place. After a period of time, the metal holding the gear becomes worn thin to the pressure of the gear pushing up when the window handle is cranked. The gear pops out of the assembly with the handle, rendering it useless. The whole unit needs to be replaced. Those with these regulators preinstalled are stuck with replacing these. Those who need new windows should not get this type of regulator.
