About this product

Product Information

This lens is ideal for sports and wildlife photography. The newly designed optical system has one fluorite element and two UD-glass elements to obtain high resolution and high contrast. Also, the minimum focusing distance was reduced to 18 ft. (5.5m). Extender EF 2x II can be attached to increase the focal length to 1200mm while retaining AF (at the center focusing point with the EOS-1v and EOS-3).

    Used Canon 600mm F4 ll

    I recently purchased a used Canon 600mm Prime Lens and have been shooting with it for 2 weeks. The build and image quality are amazing and I love the Lens, but just a cautionary note! This thing is HUGE, especially with the sun hood, and it is HEAVY! I am a big strong guy but it gets really hard to hand hold after an hour of crawling through mud to get close to shorebirds! A tripod would probably help but just isn’t my style, I creep and crawl using all available cover and terrain. So in summary, a wonderful Lens but not for the feeble or faint-hearted!
