Good for the price, but not quite five stars.
I have this scope mounted on a 1942 Mosin-Nagant 91-30. Almost everything about this scope is great. The mil-dot reticle is functional and easy to put on target. The lenses are clear and provide a crisp image even at maximum magnification. The scope even feels pretty solid for a lower/mid-range scope. So why not five stars, right? It's the adjustment. While the scope is easy enough to adjust and sight in, it is a pain to adjust on the fly due to the covers and the fact that you need a screw driver or similar implement to adjust the dials. A minor thing to some, but an aggravation to a person who is used to being able to adjust a scope immediately and without tools. Final verdict: There aren't a lot of good options for an LER scout scope. This is probably the best value for the cost that you can find. I'd go full Lee Iacocca on this one. If you can find a better scope, buy it.

Not a mil-dot at all
The view is clear and the eye relief if good but the mil-mot reticle is not at all as pictured. The mil-dot is very Very small and is what is pictured as the center cross hair. I intended to mount the scope on a .308 scout rifle but the reticle is only good for a pistol at best. If it had an actual mil-dot reticle I would have given a much higher rating.

SO FAR SO GOOD
I put my scope on top of a Taylor's made 1886 model 45-70 time will tell how well it puts up with the abuse. Scope comes with clear easy to fallow instructions. I am happy with the clarity when you consider the price. It does seem to take in a considerable amount of light making it work well at dawn & dusk. All in all can you find a better scope? (of-course), but not for the same price. Good quality for a good price.

I have purchased one of these scopes before for my Mauser K98 rifle. I mounted this scope on my Mosin-Nagant 91/30 rifle usin a S&K mount that drops right in place after the rear sight is removed. I bore-sighted the scope and once out to the range, it didn't take long to zero in.
