It was shipped in an overly large box with only a single layer of bubble wrap, allowing the motherboard (with CPU/heatsink and RAM installed) to bounce around freely. It's fortunate it arrived undamaged. Definitely would advise the seller to use more secure packaging.

    I received an LG branded burner. Not the Samsung which I was hoping to try.

    This was an LG burner not a Samsung. The drive was in good shape and works fine so it's not a tragedy to get a different brand. I did want to try the Samsung though.
