    Eye-opening view of American History.

    I purchased this book for a history book club I attend. It is an abridged edition and I believe it to be well done in that regard. The content is specific to reconstruction after the Civil War, and eye-opening to the Andrew Johnson presidency as well as that period in history. I recommend the book to everyone interested in American history.
