    Well made roof rack and easy to install. Unfortunately our Tucson has a moon roof which barely clears the bar and could scrape the glass if the rack was loaded. The biggest issue is the wind noise.

    The cam gear is the weak point in the lock actuator and the cause for failure nearly 100% of the time. If you are DIY ing this replacement job it means you have a level of mechanical competence and you can save yourself a good deal of money by repairing instead of replacing. This repair kit includes quality replacement parts I can confidently say will last the remaining life of my E91 wagon. Be sure to search for YouTube videos on how to open the actuator since BMW parts are over-engineered and knowing where the tabs and clips are will make life much easier. There are several variations on the same actuator and finding one on the actual replacement of the gear is nearly impossible. The process is simple but be sure to take photos of how each cam, latch and spring is assembled because you ...
