    The product works as intended.

    This product does the job it was designed for. It allows me to use a bolt on derailleur rather than being limited to what I call a clip on derailleur which has an adapter to use in a dropout where the frame has no integrated derailleur mount.

    I only regret that I can't give it 6 stars.

    This thing is AWESOME for those who own older bikes, or even knewer models that have external derailleurs (Movelo Algonquin, Huffy Granite, most SuperCycles, single speeds, etc). It uses two bolts: your tire bolt/skewer and a second bolt for alignment. I used it to mount a new derailleur to my bike for a 3x9 conversion, and it worked beautifully! It needed minimal adjustment to b-angle and limit screws, as this mount already was that near-perfect angle. Great product! Breathes new life into old bikes!

    Ideal for upgrading rear mech. on a vintage bike

    If you ever want to upgrade a vintage frame with a modern drive train, you will find very few options for the rear mech. Most modern rear derailleurs require “direct connect” rather than a “claw hanger”, as used on older bikes. (Notable exception is the Shimano Tourney 6-7 speed which still has a claw hanger option). However this Sun race hanger (BTW: the same hanger is marketed by several companies) allows you to use most any Shimano, SRAM or microshift rear derailleur on your project.

    Works!

    I used it to convert my Motobecane with Huret derailleurs to Shimano derailleurs. Should work perfect with most bikes that use claws. Perfect to modernize bikes or if you have a frame that needs a claw attached so you can hand your derailleur.
