It's Big and it's Bad.
I haven't needed to charge this 4.0 ah 40 volt battery since it arrived at my doorstep and I use it daily in my impact gun. It's big and it's bad (in a good way). 40v = World Demolition
The new Makita 40v XGT line has some impressive numbers when it comes to some of their tools. Wether it’s ft/lbs, CFM, Impacts per Minute, etc etc, these 40v batteries are going to easily get those tools those numbers and then some. I’m happy I didn’t invest heavily into the XLT or LXT lines as they are all now inferior to the XGT BABY!!!!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Makita XGT 4.0 battery
I have three Makita 40v 4.0ah and they all have been excellent. I think they have more power that the normal Makita 18v 5.0ah! The batteries charge pretty quick around 45 mins! No complaints. The batteries are on the pricey side but you have to pay for quality!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

The battery, while bulkier than the 18V version, holds more oomph per charge and the tools (such as the 6 1/2 inch saw) driven by this one, just rip, compared to the 18V.
