    Much Better Than Expected

    The left channel line input on my computer went bad. I searched for a new sound card for my 10 year old computer which I needed to be replace. I found the Star Tech External sound card for an unbelievable low price. Installation was a snap. I can now continue to copy my vinyl records to CD's with great sound quality. It also has many other great features for connecting surround sound speakers and an on screen control center for many different sound effects. It is better than the OEM sound card that came installed in my computer. I love it not only for its quality but it saved my old computer which I also love.

    Great product

    I only have a 5.1 surround currently waiting to get a 7.1 so I am unable to talk to the extra 2 speakers at this point, however it does exactly what I needed. I have an old XPS laptop that cannot connect to the TV other than a 2 channel not allowing me to utilize the surround sound speakers. This external sound card allows for an optical connection through the usb on the laptop and results in a full 5.1 surround sound experience. The only thing you must do is install the driver on the disk that comes with the device.

    An upgrade from an old version 4 years ago, now has 4 outputs to speakers, a separate headphone output, and two mic inputs for stereo. Expanded karaoke panel with magic voice; Xear surround mix added to 7.1 speaker shifter. An excellent tool to vastly improve laptop sound, good enough for audio streaming, and overall excellent value.

    A good usb sound card!!

    This has pretty good and clear sound quality! Of coarse this is no top tear 24/32 bit - 92/192khz sound card but it sounds pretty good and at a decent price point to boot, I have not tried this on recording anything or even tried using it on my windows 10 system as of yet, but I plugged this into my linux mint setup and it worked right away, right out of the box perfectly.

    Very good product

    I like it but if your a windows 10 user please don't get this, it's yet to be compatible with windows 10 it has not available drivers for windows 10 yet. The reason I still give it a good review because my laptop has 2 operating systems on it I run Win10 and Win7. It took me a while to figure it out but when I did this thing works wonders. It can give you the surround sound effect. When I plug this thing into my computer than listen to my music with my headphones plugged in I can hear sounds in songs much more crystal clear and I can hear sounds I'm not iv'e heard before with my default system sound card. I recommend this if your getting into music making and your a beginner. If your into sound quality or anything of that nature this is a good start my friends so hope on the train ride to ...
