Of all the Thunderbolt docks that i have used, this one the TS3 in particular is hands down the best one out there. its an all metal construction with some weight to it and the silicone feet hold it in place on your desk very well. I am using this product with a fiber optic thunderbolt cable and my PC is in another room of the house. every peripheral from my mouse, keyboard, DAC, sound system, dual monitors, all run through the dock without an issue. Just as you would expect from a company like CalDigit On a side note, updates are super easy, just download the update tool from their website and flash the dock. it takes a couple minutes and one reboot and your good to go.

You pretty much need some kind of docking station to run the new Mac Book computers. Poor design with only Thunderbolt 3 ports requires some way to transition to your old peripherals or even using new ones. The ports become very sloppy in a short time with use so you're better off using them as little as possible and doing all of your connections through the robust docking station. If you're not familiar with this, you'll soon understand. I own more than one...

I have been wanting this product for quite awhile. Liked the size, power and versatility of the various ports. Just had to wait for the right price:)

Does everything except cook dinner, it’s so handy. If you need a port, chances are this thing has it. The only downside is that it’s relatively bulky. If you need something for everyday travels then there are more portable options.

The CalDigit TS3 Plus comes loaded with ports, which is exactly what I need. I've got all my USB devices plugged into it - track ball, camera, bluetooth headset, keyboard - and all are working perfectly. And, with its Thunderbolt connection to my MacBook Pro, I don't need to plug my laptop into the wall directly. The TS3 powers and charges it nicely. The TS3 Plus, even with all the ports it has, is still relatively small. I hope to use it when I'm traveling. The large brick of an AC adapter might be the limiting factor there. But I wouldn't consider this to be a downfall, as I don't think it's meant to be a traveling dock.

Had some issues with cheaper brands not connecting to my interface for recording. This works perfect. Only input it doesn’t have is a hdmi. Thought it did but, nope.

Real nice looking unit. Plenty of ports. Would be nice if it had a HDMI port also. Gets a little warm when in use.

Running on a 2020 MBP. Absolutely NO ISSUES running MacOS Catalina. Intermittent USB Drive issues using MacOS Big Sur. Though, I suspect the issue is the OS and not the Caldigit TS3+. My external drives are much more stable on the Caldigit TS3+ I run four (4) USB Time Machine backup Drives plus an additional USB Drive. None of them unmount themselves as they did connected to a powered USB Hub! Unit does run warm/hot - but my research indicates that is normal. This was a very good, stable, addition to my system. And I like that I can unmount all devices with a single click to take my MBP and GO!

Great Dock, and I'm using it on a Dell XPS. It runs two external displays. A BenQ using the second TB3 port and an ASUS using the DisplayPort. I did not need to use an active DisplayPort cable. Just a plain old every day DisPlay cable worked for my setup. Everything works on this dock perfect. Good Job CalDigit!
