All I can say is WOW. This thing is fast and reliable - ignore any negative reviews you may have seen on this model, it is excellent and the software straight-forward and perfectly usable (free download). CCD imager's are offset by several inches and do not interfere with each other. You will get better image quality if you turn off 'streak correction' as this is unnecessary if you keep the scanner imager's clean. As a caveat I found I had to place an additional stop at the top of the feeder to keep the pages feeding straight when scanner thin magazine paper as these tend to be very slippery and slide sideways with gravity. I clean my rollers with isopropyl alcohol and a clean cloth. The software has an option to allow asking every time the hopper runs out if you want to scan in more pages to the current document; you simply hit enter and away you go. I am using a 6-core x 2.8GHz (1600MHz memory) AMD processor with windows 7 64-bit and 4GB of RAM and fast hard drive and I can cruse along at 50 pages a minute in 300dpi color, PDF Searchable turned off (otherwise you take a significant post-processing hit) and scanned in a 500 page (250 sheet) document at 470MB file without a hiccup. Much much faster if using 200dpi. Straight-through mechanism is definitely a plus for snag free scanning. Thank you Kodak.Read full review
Easy to write an awesome review when you pick it up for $100 total with shipping. The scanner is great for what its asked to do in comparison to a 5000 dollar scanner. Its not perfect even scanners for industry made 10+ years ago out perform the Kodak i2600 such as my Bell & Howell 8100DB. What I don't like the top feed as they are notorious for paper jams and multi-feeds. Companies are finally considering paper reduction thus our scanning has dropped into this level of scanner. I'd love a Kodak i2900 at minimum as its Kodak's first step into tray feeding but 3000K isn't an option to spend on a scanner. So what does this scanner do to earn this 5 star rating? 50ppm, it handles 20,000 pages a month easy. It takes way less space, it handles Windows 10 drivers. It's my hope it can use better scanning software from other software companies.Read full review

I am very picky, this is a very good scanner. Simply load scanning software + smart touch. Never go back to an all-in-one, which does everything insufficiently and with voracious appetite for printer cartridges. You can print (copy) via computer to your laser printer.

The scanner is fast, even to scan both sides. However, on virtually all of my multi-page scans the scanner pulls in multiple pages at a time. I have tried setting the paper in the scanner feed higher up, that did not help. To correct the issue I have to stand at the scanner and manually feed the pages in. Usually, I have to redo the scan 2-3 times. This will not do.
