    It is snot the same thing.

    I had always purchased Hungry Jack instant potato flakes (which were wonderful.) When my local Wal-Mart and HEB no longer carried them, I tried the only product I could get (online at that) - the Hungry Jack instant potato "granules." The flavor is the same, but the texture is not as good as the flakes. (I still don't understand why a company has to "improve" on something that is already the best.) I will keep looking for the flakes, in hope that I can find some. The product was delivered on time and in good condition.

    Not like the Hungry Jack Potato Flakes

    I thought it would be like the Hungry Jack Mashed potatoes I use to be able to buy at the store. The only ingredient was potato flakes. I was so excited to find them as they are not sold in the stores any longer. I was disappointed with the ones I bought because I thought I was getting the ones that the only ingredient is potato flakes. But the one i got have all kinds of ingredients including salt and corn syrup. They taste chemically to me, and I don't want my baby to eat it. You do get alot for your money but I would rather boil and mash real potatoes than these with all the added junk. I will be giving the unopened boxes to a food bank, and looking for another brand that will be just potato flakes.

    I;ve used Hungry Jack Mashed Potatoes for many years.

    hungry jack mashed potatoes is a great product. But the instructions could be changed a bit by either adding a shredded cheese to be melted in the potatoes or add a bit more milk/water/ mochoa mix or cofee mate creamer to make the potatoes soft and taste even better.

    Need to go back to the original flakes!!!

    the company,..I'm assuming Smuckers that bought the original Hungry Jack instant potatoes, NEED to go back to flakes without all the additives. They were SO MUCH BETTER. I always liked smuckers jams,..but they need to realize an already wonderful product and not change it.

    No need to send a picture. The box looks the same as it used to, but inside it’s GRANULES and not the FLAKES they’re suppose to be!!!!

    It tasted horrible!!!! The Hungry Jack instant potatoes are suppose to be flakes!!!! These 2 boxes of Hungry Jack instant potatoes are GRANULES, and they taste HORRIBLE! I would not recommend them to anyone!!!!
