    Good cheap upgrade

    It's great value if you need a bit more performance and have a socket 775 motherboard. With a geforce 1050ti installed I am able to play Forza 4 horizon in high detail. Not bad at all. Performance is about 1/2 an Intel i5 in benchmarks but my machine is definitely quicker than with the Intel 8300. Only 30 quid. To get much more performance would mean new motherboard and probably over 150.

    Budget savvy upgrade.

    Paired with a decent(ish) graphics card it will run games that it officially doesn't reach min specs for. Overclocked a little, to match the q9560 at least & that graphics, most games well at 1080.
