    ***BEWARE*** AC1900 IS NOT A NETGEAR MODEL NUMBER! THEY ARE MANY / NOT THE SAME!

    To start, here are all the AC1900 (AC is type of WiFi, 1900 is the combined maximum Gpbs bandwidth) Netgear routers: C6900 R6900 R6900P A7000 C7000 EX7000 R7000 C7100V They're all AC1900's. The ones starting in "R" are your standard AC wireless router. Ones beginning with "C" are AC wireless routers with built-in cable modems, "A" is a USB adapter, and "EX" are Mesh Extenders. While the R6900 is "okay" and the R6900P is "better", the one you need to focus on is the R7000. It offers NETGEAR Armor™ and Circle® Smart Parental Controls, but lacks MU-MIMO (multi-user, multiple input, multiple output) for high traffic/multiple devices. MU-MIMO can be found in the R6900P and R7000P (AC2300). Released in 2013, the R7000 is a Netgear workhorse that is still supported (as of 02APR21). It makes a ...

    Amazing router for the price !

    All I can say is What A Differnce ! Have had nothing but netgear products for my network. Soooooo much faster than my old router, everything loads a lot quicker, no buffering, or lag time, which means, kids are happier, & parental controls are great feature also, which is one main reason I chose this router.

    Great AP for the money

    So far so good - this unit has worked very nicely in my home - easy to set up. We had an existing AP in one corner of our large brick home - and did not have good coverage in opposite corners of the house. I ran a CAT6 cable across our basement and installed the Netgear Nighthawk in the far corner side of our house and we now have great coverage throughout the house. I was seeing 866mbs wireless speeds on my Microsoft surface. We are beefing up the wireless in anticipation of both of our kids doing remote classrooms this fall - while I continue to also work remotely from home. We will see how it all goes.

    Netgear Nighthawk router, great buy!

    After trying a couple of other brands, that weren't compatible with my Spectrum Internet, I finally settled on Netgear. This router is powerful enough that I removed my wi-fi extender. It gives me five bars and goes through the upstairs floor to my basement with ease. I will say it's super fast too. I don't think you can go wrong. I bought a refurbished from Netgear and have no regrets.

    This baby is a keeper!

    This little baby is a keeper! I've used Netgear products for years and have never been disappointed. The setup was a breeze. The instructions were concise and accurate unlike what you might receive with the purchase of other products. Generally a good recommendation from a trusted someone is the best form of review. I needed a new router. I asked my techie brother what he was using. He recommended the R6900P and that was all I needed. The rest is history.
