There are times to where it is handy to have a little point & shoot camera. Theme park, zoo, whatever it may be where you don't feel like lugging a SLR camera around your neck. This camera is nice light and thin. i can just put it in my pocket of my khaki shorts and is no more annoying that some keys. This camera is replacing a similar camera my Sony T1 which was pretty much the same but didn't have a touch screen. So I think that I'll have pretty much the same quirks. Weak flash but will take some great pics outdoors if you have your settings right. So far I am pleased with the camera although I can tell already it is going to have a poor battery performance....as I expected with having the large screen that had to be lit at all times.
I love the small compact size of the camera and the quality of pictures it produces. The flash is super bright though, so sometimes you have to turn the flash off to get a better photo. Also, sometimes the screen takes a moment to focus instead of point and shoot immediately. Overall, it is a good camera. I recommend buying the extended warranty through squaretrade, as I do all my electronic purchases.
It takes very good pictures, it is a good video camera too. It is the Best camera for traveling!! Why? because it fits in your pocket and you don't look like a tourist with a bulky camcorder and a large camera around your neck! I am very happy with it and I feel it will replace most of your camera needs for every day picture taking. But if you want to take special occassion pictures that will look superior, then this is not the camera for you. For that you need a much bigger bulkier camera. Don't get me wrong the quality is very good, but if you want to take WOW pictures with it, then it is not the Camera to buy. What would I do?? buy this camera for every day use and then purchase the $700+ camera for WOW pictures.
the camera takes good pictures and excellent video. but battery life is short. the zoom works very good in video mode and also in picture mode. touchscreen works nice, pictures look very clear, and easy to use. the smile shutter works excellent and anti-blur works fine. overall this camera is good but battery is poor.
It takes very nice pictures and is nice and slim. Im a little disappointed with the movie quality though. I dont know that id necessarily call it 720p. It looks good, but Ive seen 720p thats definitely better. Also the image blurs significantly when turning the camera too fast. I know this isnt a camcorder, but it ought to be able to have protection against that given the price tag. In the camera's defense, though, I havent yet played with the settings, so maybe theres settings I didnt know about to help this :-O (it DID say 720p on the screen though, so that setting was definitely correct).
Easy to use touchscreen. 12.1 megapixels. good low light camera. Doesnt have to use flash in low light that much. Handles everything on its own. Highly recomend for anyone thats a starter for cameras.

This is my 4th cyber-shot camera (new one about every 2 years) and each has been better than the previous one (mind you, no complaints at any time, just they keep getting better). I have a 16gB memory stick in this one and it will hold almost 3,000 high resolution pictures. That (and spare batteries) means no worries about finding another memory stick or something needed when on a trip. I also bought a Sony case for it and, if I have any complaints, it would be the case - it has a belt loop that loves to come unsnapped, and flips the still/video switch when I take the camera out. Great camera to take on a trip if you don't want to lug a heavy slr hanging around your neck.
This compact point and shoot digital camera shoots very clear high quality pictures as well as video. Easy to view with its 3.5" LCD screen. This digital camera can be fitted with up to 16GB of storage space. I have no problems with it since I got it. The only thing i dislike about this camera is the battery life. So if you think of getting one have an extra battery ready in hand.
What a great compact camera! The size and weight enables you to slip it in your pocket and take it anywhere. The numerous features makes it fun to use. The camera is well worth the price.
I bought this camera because I had one like it (the DSC-T200) when it first came out but it was lost. I couldn't get the same camera again because it was such an expensive camera so I got others. I went through three other cameras (I won't name them but they were well known name brand cameras) and each time was nowhere near as happy with them as I was with the Sony I had. So when I saw the DSC-T900 on e-bay and realizing how much money I could save I HAD to have it. The touchscreen makes everything easy but you can also hide the controls and take advantage of the full screen to view your pictures and slideshows. You can do more with this camera than I even know about right now. I would definitely reccomend this camera to anyone and everyone:)
