I bought this for my gf . She had the old duraforce and she liked it fine but the processor and memory weren't exactly up to par with other phones on the market but it was very rugged and can take quite a bit of abuse. This new kyrocera is great with double the memory and ram along with the tank like undestructability that she has become accustomed to. Idk how someone can drop a phone so much or forget it on the roof of the car and only remember it when it finally slides off at 45 mph but it happens. The kyrocera has held up to multiple daily drops and so far one of those 45mph drops I just spoke of. Theres no cracks on the screen not even a scratch tbh. This phone was built for those bull in a china shop loved ones and I can't give this thing enough praise. Thanks kyrocera

I'm rough on phone even with the best protective cases so the marketing claims of the Kyocera Duraforce line was very appealing. Lesson learned. They have an excellent marketing team! The phones performance has been subpar. It's very slow to respond while texting and the user interface feels clunky at best. I can deal with these things. The thing I cannot deal with is the intermittent and without warning shutdowns. At first I thought it died due to low battery since it is totally non-responsive. When I plug it in to the charger the phone shows it's at 50%. Bizzare. Lesson learned. Safe yourself the frustration, stick with a known brand.

I have now had this phone for a couple weeks. My old phone was a Samsung Express 3. Much smaller in size. This new phone feel rugged. It is heavy compared to today's phones. It is a bit more awkward putting it in my front pocket, but not bad. I chose it for its size and advertised ruggedness. The hardest part for me was getting used to the Android 9 system. Far cry from my old phone. Example, trying to get to developer mode, tapping on the build number did nothing as all the instructions I read told me to do. Out of simple guessing, I tapped on "Software Version" which shows a number with AT after it and that did the trick. Another example, I haven't figured out why I swipe from 1 picture to another yet as I could with the old phone when viewing a series sent in a text message. Stuff like this is what I cringe at when ever I have to update anything. But, my old phone only had 8G space and I kept getting warning of running out even though I had an expansion card in it. So it was time. I like the phone. The screen is clear. It takes photos just fine. The sound is good. I was not looking for the perfect, just wanted something that was solid and good. This fit the bill.Read full review

This phone has most of the high-end specs you'd want from a smart phone. Screen size, battery life, wireless charging, excellent reception, very good camera, plenty of RAM... wrapped all in a durable package. The sapphire screen is among the most hyped features.Touted to be "indestructible". I managed to shatter it. I mean, I earned this one lol - screen facing outward inside cargo pants during slip 'n fall down a gully & landed on a river rock. I was stunned that the screen shattered... Pure disbelief... How could this be? Didn't they say... Worse yet, can't be repaired. Having said all that, this is the kind of phone that you'd buy again. So, I will. The end.

These are our third Kyocera military spec phones. Our next most recent mil-spec units were Cat Brand but we came back to Kyocera due to a combination of availability, features, price, and prior experience with the brand. In the limited time we have had these units they seem to be meeting our expectations. We have, since they have been available, preferred these tougher phones; finding them to be very durable and seeing how many friends & family members who choose the more mainline phones experience failures (usually screen breaks) while we have never had such a problem with any of our mil-spec phones. Another feature of these phones we like is their matte and less slippery surfaces; thus less likely to slip out of one's hands. Battery life with these Kyoceras may not be quite as good as that of our Cat phones but we generally have regular access to recharging options so that has not been a problem. It is also worth noting usage of our phones has also increased - particularly streaming of audio & video - so that also accounts for our need of more frequent charging.Read full review

I purchased this specific phone to replace a lost phone of the same brand and model. Extremely durable and small enough to fit easily into jeans pocket. Tough enough to be dropped from a height without screen damage. Waterproof. My older phone survived going through the washer and dryer, and also being dropped into a deep koi pond for over two weeks until I could get someone out to retrieve it for me. Possible drawbacks are one must remember to close the rubber covers over various slots to assure watertightness, and also because it only comes in plain black it is hard to see if put down some places. Brightly colored protective shells are therefore a necessity, available only online, and not always easy to find/ Not available in 5G. Also battery is sealed inside and cannot be replaced, but the rechargeable battery seems to have a very long life.. Phone can be recharged wirelessly.Read full review

Looks to be as rugged and durable as I'd hoped. Not too big to fit into a shirt pocket. Shipped in original box with Kyocera USB charger. Easy to set up using my previous AT&T sim card. Charges quickly enough and holds its charge for several days. Very clear sound when using speaker phone functions and plenty of volume. Camera is nothing special but works OK. Using it mainly as a phone and for texting, no gaming or social media apps. Only the slightest bit of very light scuffing on one corner of the screen but not visible when in use. In all other ways the phone appears to be nearly new.

This was actually a Verizon phone which made things a little difficult to set up with ATT, but that said, it's a good durable phone in very good shape . It works just fine, with the exception of all the Verizon apps that came on it you cannot take off without professional help.

Good used phone so far. The used price compared to new is high considering other brands of used phones are 1/3 the price of their new ones.
