    Great little wind generator

    I live totally off grid and needed some back up for my PV array and this particular wind generator does a great job charging my battery array at night with a mild to medium wind velocity. Very easy to assemble and set up, and puts out a steady 3 amps (cycles somewhat for wind fluctuations) up to 20 amps in heavy winds. Has auto shut down in the rectifying unit to keep from over loading the battery array and you can easily “short” connect the two dc outlet leads (from the rectifier) to brake the system, make sure that it is disconnected from the battery array before doing so or you will short out your system. All in all well made and they stand behind their equipment, I should know had to replace two blades and it was done at no charge.

    Harmonic vibration not charging

    When recieving the windmill i noticed a gauge in the housing. I proceeded to assemble the 5 blades every blade is bent differently, I mounted the assembly on a box tube platform ran the wires to the area of the batteries connected the battery connection to the rectifier then connected to the battery per instructions , then connected the three wires from the windmill as instructed . The first wind i noticed that the windmill had a harmonic vibration. I put a volt meter on the battery and when it was spinning the voltage would drop . Here are photos of the blades and the gauge . The shape of the blades are very noticeable.

    Works nice!

    This wind generator arrived very quickly. It appeared to be in OK condition. The hardest part of installing the turbine was having to weld the provided disk to a pole. Yes, you can buy (for fairly high price) a pre-welded pipe, but this was not advertised prior to purchase. I got a friend to weld it and it installed very quickly. Now for the good part- hardly any wind and this thing just spins like crazy producing power. It powered a small bank security cameras with solar panels, but only for the daytime. With this turbine, I get all night power and more!!! So...well worth the price. Just make sure you (or a friend) can weld or buy the base.

    Support.

    I like the fact that everytime I have a question they are very helpful with the answers. Your not going to get this, and a tower for this price. Its a great deal you can find a pole at a welding shop or scrap yard pretty cheap. Thats what I did. I have about $75 in the pole that includes painting the pole. 30ft for this is plenty good.
