    • Much more then I expected

I was thinking this book was going to be a 'how to' for some chicken, a goat & a berry patch. This book went into picking out the perfect land, how to tell if a barn can be saved or torn down, how to build a great compost bin, where the best places are to purchase animals. I knew if you have chicken, goats protect the chickens from fox & racoons & a donkey would protect the goats & chicken from the larger preditors. It never occured to me that dairy farmers like to get rid of their male goats & you can purchase them for cheap, thus saving their lives. This book is packed w/ wonderful information. I highly recomend it.
