A Well Mixed Studio Offering with Dylan Level Lyrics

This is a great album with excellent production values and mixing that you won't hear on many other Dylan albums. Recorded and mixed in a real studio, you not only hear Dylan's gritty voice and in the groove musicians, but also some restraint where single musicians can shine through. The album might sound too clean at first, but a second listen through will expose the kind of mixing that spotlights Dylan's lyrics, melody and musicianship that are lost in his live albums. The lyrics are considered among Dylan's best, made during a difficult time in his life, making this a well respected album that has stood the test of time.

  • An Immortal Achievement

I've never bought a Bob Dylan album before, but decided to buy this one because it has so many of my favourite songs on it. What makes it special is that you listen to it and time stands still: it's every bit as powerful today as when it was released and is an album that one can point to and say "It is entirely possible that folks will be listening to this in 100 years." If you even THINK you like Bob Dylan, you probably won't regret buying it.

  • Love everything about buying this product. Price, origin, easy access deliv

Bob Dylan writes songs relating to what is going on with him at the moment... "Long train com in' " is about religion... Etc..... Excellent album. No dislikes. Seen him twice! Incredible writer, musician, and performer. Invokes great memories. Lucky to buy this treasure! I love eBay for it's accessibility, choices, prices, and organization.

  • Geezers Remembered

A living legend. First saw him at a small coffee house in Coconut Grove in Miami. Incredible lyricist. Real music from the real world. Very rare today. Oh and the CD? It's a cd man!

  • Thank you for getting the word out.

If I had to I would rank this album second only to "Bringing it All Back Home" as Bob's very best. The ballads are superb, his honest and down to earth perceptions contain a free flowing honesty that cannot help but be sincere. Rarely do albums enamor you with a first listen, yet the lead track, "Tangled Up in Blue", breezes you into a place that is essential to a person's need for universal comfort and a secure feeling of purpose, which is always hard to find.
