Product Information
Crime Scene puts players in the shoes of rookie forensic detective Matt Simmons as he uses his extensive training to solve a series of disturbing murders that are plaguing a corrupt city. Players begin by interviewing any witnesses or suspects to gain greater insight into the crime and open up more areas in the city. Once at the crime scene, gamers use their stylus and touch screen to choose an area on the game map and begin scanning for fingerprints, bloodstains, lipstick, fibers, and other potentially incriminating evidence. There are nine different forensic tools available for gathering evidence, including tweezers, cotton swabs, and adhesive tape; and collected samples must be taken to the lab for DNA analysis, bullet identification, photo enhancement, fingerprint matching, and other advanced forensic techniques. When the evidence has been analyzed, players must present a case to their boss to that definitively proves a suspect's guilt in order to get a search warrant. The manner in which gamers conduct interviews, collect evidence, and present a case is all subject to a credibility gauge, and poor technique, badly run investigations, and asking for help too often will quickly cause Matt's co-workers to doubt his ability.
