Light escapist pre-gulf post Vietnam adventure .
This is a perfect example of 70's television. They were trying to get a hold on our culture by updating old characters. As usual they didn't take the advice of the creator who had a better grasp of what a 'Super-Hero' is and they concentrated on helicopter scenes and motorcycle stunts instead of character development. It's the same thing in Charlie's angels, Fantasy Island, the love boat, the Man From Atlantis, Spiderman, and the big green guy. The only difference is that in the Hulk they had Bixby.

There is no doubt that with the recent release of the Captain America series of films (starring Chris Evans) many have begun to take more intrest in our dear o'l cap. But these films are no where near that type of level of special effects and storyline. Please keep in mind that these films were made in the late 70' and early 80's. This was a time when comic book characters weren't taken as seriously as they are now. So don't expect a great amazing film like we are getting fed with now. If you choose to buy this I strongly urge you to be a fan of the character and not the movies going on now. This is great for collectors who enjoy watching the cinematic evolution of a character, but if you are not you will be disappointed or fall asleep 😴 in the middle of each film. The movies are fun to watch if you want to use up some time, but other than that they are not thaf great.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
