How can you not like the Keatons? After many years, and cultural changes, the one thing that remains the same is the dynamic between parents and children. "Family Ties" has always captured that for me. It is funny now as it was funny then. Except now I'm older and can understand the more adult situations. This third season is when they start getting a lot more creative with the story lines and imaginary situations. "The Philadephia Story" is one of the most ingenious ways to both learn history AND draw out laughs. A lot will see the same mannerisms Michael J. Fox uses in "Back To The Future" when he is transported to a different time and has to convince someone from that time of what is to be. I LOVED IT! The birth of Andy is a great two-parter. Which begins with the kids frustrating a father that just loves his kids. And the antics of getting Elise to hopsital...or maybe not. This four disc set is a winner!Read full review

Family ties is still one of the funniest shows in the history of television. Michael J. Fox was brilliant as Alex P. Keaton. The Republican teenager in a Liberal household. This DVD is a must have.
I have always loved Family Ties since it's debut, I am a big fan of all the actors in the show. I bought it because I love the show.
