    A good option for 027 size track but go easy on the cleaning.

    The Lionel 6-65167 - 042 turnout offers the user of 027 size track the ability to run trains that may require the larger radius curve. I have found however that a problem with the switch is the large center rail power pickup. Out of the box its fine. Its after you run trains and then decide to clean the track. This center section is not well supported and can slightly bend if too much pressure is applied when hand cleaning with a pad or cloth. This causes a problem with power pickups on motorized units and other lighted cars (e.g. caboose). Trains will spark or stop running at this point on the turnout and may even cause the transformer circuit breaker to trip. So be careful when cleaning this part of the turnout.

    Not recommended.

    it constantly throws sparks causing shorts circuits, twice burning out boards in my Lionchief engine. Also, trains often derail using this switch.
