    As good as Power Line adapters get. You can cover all your reception blackspots and you can add units relatively easily. The software is a little glitchy especially if you use a whitelist or as I like to call it an allow list, the software could benefit with a larger capacity for actual number of devices that you might need in a larger household but once up and running there are few issues. Recommend.

    Dual benefits of Wired internet and WiFi extension.

    I bought this fro dual purpose. Bring wired internet to our theatre room, and to extend WiFi coverage to the extremities of the property using the same password so family and guests would not experience any low bandwidth areas. Mission Accomplished!

    Best wifi extender product

    After reviewing several extender technologies, sending the internet signal over the powerline is very effective. There will be a drop in speed from the original modem speed, but at least it is consistent. The extender also acts as a router which is a bonus.

    Adding an extra extender

    Powerline adapter is as good as a hardwired network. I use two of them. Best way to connect is through TP Link utility tpPLC. This is sold as a kit. A non wifi connector unit called the adapter which plugs into the broadband router and the other one into the powerline called the extender. The problem I faced is getting an extra extender. So had to buy the whole kit. A single extender is rare, but surprisingly costs as much if not more than the kit. The support for the product is very good and responsive. Just send them an email from TP Link's web page.

    Great product, no setup required…..

    …..just plug and play. My home nbn has a speed of 30mbps. I needed to extend my network to a studio at the bottom of our garden. A wifi extender wouldn’t reach, so I tried this instead. Just plugged it in and it worked straight away. Gives me a speed of 18mbps, which is good enough for home working. Very pleased.

    How this works for us ..

    The TP Link item arrived ahead of time and I was pleasantly surprised at its solid packaging. We live in a no mobile or TV reception area but get wifi reception. As we run an Air BnB the lack of both of those was going to be a problem with bookings, how ever with the TP Link equipment installed, we now have wifi to the cabin so our guests can enjoy the internet and all it has to offer.
