The perfect "hyrbrid" handheld gaming console and Nintendo's best gaming system to date. Between its 6.2" LCD multi-touch display and its easily detachable, wireless Joy-Con controllers, Nintendo is exploring some very interesting, creative concepts with this device. Instead of directly facing off against the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One, the Switch represents an innovative, inventive new path in today's competitive gaming landscape. Nearly three years after its initial release, the Switch has amassed a robust collection of impressive first-party titles, ports of great games from the past, and a remarkably wide selection of solid indies, most of which give you the option of playing on a TV at home or as a portable device in the palm of your hands. And innovative titles like the recently released Animal Crossings New Horizons show there is seemingly no limit to Nintendo's creativity and the system's versatility. The system also has 32GB of internal storage, with support for microSD cards for up to 2TB of additional memory. Its online service can use some work, but still routinely receives updates to address any glaring issues. Despite its short battery life, I really like the Switch's portable mode option, which gives it an edge over the PS4 and XBox One. More importantly, it's built a fantastic library of must-play games from both Nintendo and other publishers. It regularly sees noteworthy new titles each year, and ports of older games that are given new life with the option to play them on the go. Overall, it's an impressive game console and an equally impressive handheld console. The home and portable experiences are equally fun with a large game library readily available on the system that are definitely worth your time, even if you're revisiting remastered/upgraded titles from the past. Side Note: I haven't owned a Nintendo system since the Gamecube (which launched over a decade ago), but I'm very satisfied and happy with my Switch purchase. Especially now, being self-quarantined at home and gaming to pass the time during this global pandemic. Pros: attractive, innovative design, excellent first and third party game library, solid build quality, Joy-Cons feel comfortable to use in multiple configurations, and having the option to play on the go or at home as a fully functional home game console. Cons: can't copy or transfer save files, short battery life, max resolution of 1080p, some controller options are uncomfortable, online service needs work, and the console's flimsy kickstand.

Pricey, Questionable Value
I bought this Switch only to play the 2k21 golf game as most of the games are geared much more for the pre- teen ages. Graphics are decent not excellent and while the golf games is entertaining, I don't consider the price of the Switch to be a particularly good value.
