    White Rogers Universal Gas Furnace Control

    My Trane furnace came originally with a White Rogers furnace controller. It was 20 years old, when a particular kind of power outage caused a power surge as the power was restored. That surge damaged many electrical items in my house, including the furnace transformer and controller. I replaced the original controller with this model. It installed very easily, with wires directly replacing the ones in the original unit. The instructions were very thorough. They had special instructions for use in Trane furnaces. White Rogers now makes a jumper wire that connects flame rollout sensor terminals. That jumper wire was easy to find and the terminals it connects were also easy to find. With the new transformer installed, the furnace now runs like new again.

    works with a little help

    what was ordered was a 50-56-288 control board..... what I received was a board with the last three numbers different. It worked as it seems that all variations of that boards last three numbers are universal . (KIND OF) I had to modify on of the plug in connector at one location

    good price

    this is my 4th control board I have replaced.. Trane furnace is 13 years old. Power spikes have caused problem. installed a surge suppressor this time. I have shopped a lot for the best price. local repair stores want close to $185. this is a great price.

    White rodgers 50A55-843 circuit board replaced my Trane XE78 furnce circuit board. Last one lasted me 6 years until error code flashed 6 times showing reversed polarity. Knowing that was not the case , I ordered this one. Hope this one will last as long. I had to use the jumper wire because of the roll out situation. Also used 50A55-3797 as a replacement. I am going to keep one on hand as a spare in case the failure happens again.
