    Leonardo would've appreciated the effort put into this production.

    I saw this back in the early '70's and have been looking for it on DVD for the last few years. Great storytelling, authentic scenery, and realistic actors and portrayals.

    VIVA LEONARDO !!!!!!

    This television masterpiece changed my life when I saw it on American TV in the summer of '72, and it was like a fountain of youth to see it again. Everyone and everything is superb, from the glorious music to the profound narration to an unforgettable Philippe Leroy as Leonardo. And be prepared to enter the realm of the sublime when Zoroastro tries to fly !!!!! It should be required viewing in schools, from elementary to graduate. Absolutely glorious !!!!
