I double checked the pegs on the batch of bases I have here against figures from all the original waves of Kenner figures (less the GID set) and the Hasbro Reissues and the pegs fit tightly as designed (a slightly wider tolerance and a hex pattern, rather than a circle to compensate for the material being used, print patterns, and general use (and to keep figures from flying away).
