  • Pretty and readable deck, useless booklet

I got this deck to be part of my African Tarot collection and didn't expect to be able to read it. The enclosed booklet is not useful. The generic meanings appear to have nothing to do with the cards. Major arcana are associated with specific spirits (influenced by unnamed gods or saints), but the descriptions are too terse to be useful if you are not already familiar with them. That said, there is enough material in the imagery of the cards themselves to develop your own meanings without the book. I liked the variety of images - animals, people, plants, buildings - as well as the variety in level of detail. The test reading I performed was surprisingly easy to do.
