    An older camera with a lot of years left in it.

    This is easily one of the best bargains for a Sony APSC-sized sensor camera out there. It is 16 megapixels which seems low by todays standards, but keep in mind that many people are happy with 12 megapixel cameras on iPhones. The big difference is that different lenses can be used, noise suppression can be manipulated in RAW files and pixel peepers will get more detail. It is a Sony model so getting native lenses won't be a problem. Even old manual lenses from other cameras can be used with adapters. There is a zoom-to-focus button so when I use my old Zeiss knockoff Jupiter-8 lens, I can be sure that I'm getting the shot pin sharp. I like having more control over my camera than I could get with my iPhone and this is the perfect solution. Another important feature is that I can use almost ...

    a very easy camera to us

    This is my 3 rd Nex it has taken 3 types to get it right. /Started with a C 3 and then a 5000. I also use a a Alpha a 57 and this camera is equal and as good as the Nex-7 ,but with the mechanics of the a 77. Picture quality is excellent for a used camera, and the feel is just fine and to use is just as great. I have 2 e mount lens a 18-55 mm and a 55-210 lens also. With my LA_EA 2 adapter all my other Sony and Minolta lens work also. I would say that Nex-7 is excellent camera and I would recommend it for any one who is a step away from the Sony a 7 series cameras. This how I plan on going in the near future.

    Great introduction to Dslr

    I wanted to get a dslr without paying the huge price that they usually come with. After a lot of research, I decided on this camera and so far, so good. The picture quality is great, taking shots is easy, but getting creative takes practice. However, getting ones hands on the accessories for the camera gets pricey.

    only camera that can easily zoom any lens sinc it has an actual toggle to vary the digital zoom unlike having to use a menu type of option....

    This is the only NEX camera from what I have seen that has a digital zoom toggle on the shutter release mechanism...This makes the camera very versatile when using with th VCL-ECF2 Fisheye auxiliary lens made specifically to fit the SEL16F28 lens...... This "n" variation of the NEX 3 is thus a real fun camera to use with that combo since you can real time change to fisheye effect using the that zoom toggle.. You can pick up both the fisheye aux lens and this 16mm lens for a good discount on the used market though both are being sold "new" by several companies.. This toggle allows you to vary the wide angle effect.... A new view with the "fisheye" lens The VCL-ECF2 Fisheye Converter creates exaggerated perspective effect, with a full 180 degree field of view for the SEL16F28, and 133 ...
