    Works OK, but...

    Teac makes solid tape machines. It's unfortunate that they chose to make the "eject/open" button the same as the "stop" button! It makes using the deck difficult because they're combined and all the same color as the other buttons - always hard to find "eject/open"! That said, the rest of the operation is fine, and the sound is excellent for a machine in this class and at this price point.

    Works fine; Don't expect rapid dubbing

    I am working with historical records including audio cassettes going back to the early 1990s. The unit worked fine but even though I had tried my best to get information, it falls short in two respects. First, it only dubs at a 2X speed, hardly a dramatic way to speed up making copies. (The dubbing machine I owned in the late 1980s copied at a 5X speed.) More frustrating is the fact that, although the tapes when played automatically reverse, when dubbing you have to manually reverse the dubbed copy. That means that, instead of being able to install a 90 minute original for dubbing and leave it for 45 minutes while I work on other records, I need to have a timer "ring" me every 22 minutes to flip the dubbed copy.

    Tape Deck

    Installed and have played a couple of tapes. have not tried the record or dubbing function yet. Nice to have a deck back in my shop.
